What
is raw feeding? Supporters of raw feeding believe that the
natural diet of raw meat, bones and organs is superior nutritionally to
highly processed commercial pet food. They mimic a similar diet
for their domestic companion, as it is believed that a balanced,
natural raw diet has the benefits of giving your pet a healthier coat,
reduced allergies, cleaner teeth and breath, reduced stool volume and
odor and better overall health.

preservatives and additives are detrimental to your pets overall health?

four questions, this maybe what you are looking for!

The Raw Facts
Veterinarians
and scientists agree that
today’s dogs’ and cats’ internal workings are fundamentally the same as
their
wild counterparts and ancestors
Dogs are classified as omnivores.
This means that your dog
needs a wide range of food in their diet including raw meats (including
organs
and fat), raw bones, fruits and vegetables. Cats are classified as carnivores. This means that
your cat needs raw meats
including organs, fat and bone.
Consider the dental structure of our
dogs and cats. Their fang-like teeth are
designed to shred, rip and tear. There
are no flat molars to grind food into smaller pieces before swallowing. They are not designed to chew kibble.
Dogs’ and cats’ saliva is designed
to lubricate large chunks of food for easy travel to the stomach. They do not have digestive enzymes in their
saliva and depend on these enzymes being present in their food. These enzymes are only present in raw
unaltered, uncooked food. Any heat
during food processing kills these vital enzymes and taxes the animal’s
pancreas and digestive and immune systems.
Dogs’ and cats’ intestinal walls
host hundreds of species of micro-organisms and bacteria called Micro
Flora. The natural balance of your pets’
micro flora provide enzymes, vitamins and minerals and helps to inhibit
the
growth of disease forming bacteria such as E-coli and Salmonella.
Kibble
& Canned Food vs. Raw Food
Today’s
cooked kibble/canned pet foods are
generally made of poor to low quality food ingredients.
Even the better quality kibble/canned
products using grade “A” and hormone free foods lose many of the vital
nutrients (enzymes and antioxidants) during the cooking process.
The
steady onslaught of degenerative diseases in our dogs and cats has
forced us to
question and examine the quality of the foods being used and how they
are
processed in relation to our pet’s overall health.
Why
Feed your Pet Raw Food?
The idea
of feeding your dog or cat raw meat
and bones can seem strange and unnatural.
The truth is, our carnivorous friends’ anatomies and
digestive systems
are designed to consume food in a raw state.
Switching
to a raw natural diet will have a
positive impact on boosting your pets’ overall health, vitality,
longevity and
quality of life. A raw food diet will
greatly improve , if not eliminate many health ailments such as:
Allergies,
Arthritis/Joint problems, Bowel/Urinary problems, Dental/Breath
Problems, Ear
and Eye Ailment/Discharge, Lack of
Energy/Enthusiasm, Obesity/Weight Problems, Parasites/Fleas and Mites,
Poor
Skin and Coat, Weakened Immune System.
Without a doubt, visits to the veterinary
clinic can diminish after
switching to raw food.

Testimonials
We
tried everything to help our Bailey cope with her allergies.
Since she has been on the Champions Choice diet she is doing
amazingly well. Her coat has improved, the itching has stopped
and all her energy has come back. The quality of the food is
excellent, you can smell the difference. We would highly recommend this
product!!
Sincerely
Steffanie, Langley BC
We
started buying our meat and food at Sports City Butcher because of
their convenient location and soon discovered the quality of their
products is superior and pricing is excellent. They also sell dog
food and after some research, we realized the low cost and high caliber
of their raw dog food far surpassed that of the local competitors; as a
result, we buy raw dog food for our black lab there too. Since we
started our dog on the raw food, we noticed his coat is shinny, he has
more energy and he loves the food! The quality food at Sports City
Butcher is a cut above the rest and we always highly recommend them to
both family and friends!

My
boyfriend and I live in Squamish and we were buying our dog's raw food
in big bulk paks of veggies and meat that we would defrost, separate,
and re-freeze into packs for 2 months worth of meals for our mastiff.
As
per a recommendation, we checked out Sports City Butcher and couldn't
be happier! We are spending nearly half as much money, saving hours of
our own time as the meat is pre-packed into patties or blocks that
contain veggies and meat, and the service is awesome! I have been
recommending Sports City Butcher to everyone I know that buys raw!!

I
started feeding my 90lb boxer raw food from Sports City about 1
year ago. The transformation he has gone through since has been
outstanding. Instead of munching at his bowl for the better part
of the morning, now he stands at attention and vibrates while he waits
and watches me prepare his meals. He even started to howl with
excitement (which is awesome). When he starts eating he doesn't lift
his head until the stainless bowls are shiny clean again. I have
also noticed a change in his body mass. In the first two months
he lost about 5 lbs, most of that was fat on top of his muscles
directly under the skin. During the next 4 months he has gained
that weight back in proper lean muscle. I can see and feel the
difference. It had also been noticed by the staff at his daycare,
whom all love him. They say to me all the time how good he's
looking and how much more defined he is. I also get lots of
comments about him at dog parks and at the beach from other boxer
owners. I always tell people the change he has gone through and
how and why its so important for them to have this type of diet.
I couldn't be happier with the results.
Customer for life!!

I want you to know my story of my two dogs and my two grand dogs.
We have been feeding our seven year old golden doodle your raw recipe
for approximately three years, maybe longer. In that time Quincy
has not been to a vet for any other reason than a general
checkup. He has never had any dental work and he has great
teeth. His coat is any blonde's dream! He carries a lean
frame...Let's just say he is amazing!
We also have our two year old Bassett hound Dotty...she only knows your
raw recipe. If you know the breed you know that they are typically a
Vets favorite friend. She is our third, so we know. Dotty
is also strutting a lean frame, a coat of velvet, ears that some how
cleanse themselves, and I swear I don't use Teeth whitener on her! Oh
and hounds typically have a strong smell to their coat...Dotty smells
like the fresh air!
On to the next two dogs I know on your raw- Freddie a Boston
Terrier/French Bulldog...I think he is now four. He has been on
your raw for a year and a half now. He has had amazing
results. He suffered from skin allergies...Not anymore! Sophie
our newest member- a nine year old French Bulldog Rescue - OMG you
can't believe how much raw has changed her life! She has been on the
diet since February . She doesn't have a lot of teeth, so the raw
is great for her. She has gained weight and is now perfect, no
breath problems and her coat is so silky and soft. She has a new
lease on life! All of these dogs have amazing energy.
We have a new pup arriving this weekend and my daughter will be feeding
her your raw recipe as wells! So there you have it! Thank-you so much
for your superior product, we love what it has provided for our gang
and will continue to promote it to all our dog loving friends!
..Oh and by the way we don't need any clock in our house, because our
dogs let us know it's time to eat!
